I made a video last week with some cute and CHEAP ways to decorate your school supplies. I realize there are more fancy ways to decorate things but I wanted to keep it simple and gear my video towards people who don't have a ton to spend.
The main decoration is washi tape. I found so many different patterns and colors, it was hard to choose from but I tried to pick out colors and styles that would go together! I bought mine at Target for $2.99 per roll. I explain in the video how I made the binder decorated with washi tape look super cute and gave some decorative ideas.
As for the other binder, I took a magazine that I already had and just bought some inexpensive ombre scrapbook paper to complete this one. I think it turned out super cute and I was able to find pictures of makeup/beauty items that I enjoy. You could do this with any magazine and use any theme that suits you.
As for the last element in the video, the pens, I had left over washi tape so I just used that to wrap around my pens to personalize them.
Like I said this video isn't rocket science but I wanted to show you guys how I like to make my school supplies a little more enjoyable to look at rather than a plain black binder. I hope you got some inspiration from my Tumblr inspired school supplies and will try out these designs!
